so im really confused, i wired my electric choke on the cj, its a edelbrock 650, so anyway, i wired it up, positive to the coil and then negative to ground, then started it up, and it started, like normally, so it warmed up, then i turned it off to clean up the wiring and when i went to start it up again, it wouldnt start, so right away thinking, just my luck, great, so i unhooked the wires off the choke, tried starting it again, nothing, it turns over but dosent fire, great , checked for spark, got spark, checked for fuel, its got fuel, i even put fuel down the carb a bit, nothing, so i got spark, got fuel, and it still wont start, i dont know what happened, but i got the battery charger on the truck right now to charge the battery up, then im gonna try tinkering with it a bit later, looking at the distributor pick up coil, and the wires were kinda cracked and nasty so i quickly re wired the plug ends, and still nothing, sooo i dunno what the hell is going on with it, im gonna see if i can borrow a buddys coil and try that, anyone else have any issues like this?

its got duraspark ignition on it, 76 CJ5 ,360ci,

Did the choke butterfly open up before you shut it down the first time? If the choke still had the butterfly shut and the engine was still warm when you tried to start it back up, you may have flooded the engine. You say you have all the requirements checked off for a "run" situation; Air, spark & fuel. Let her sit overnight and see if she'll crank up tomorrow after she's had a chance to cool off. Pump the pedal once then turn the key and see if she'll start.

I think that's what happened..I left it overnight and in the morning It fired up, lol, so I pulled the electric choke out and put a manual choke,
