Wanted to run this by anyone with experience with the OME YJ springs.
78 NT CJ5 currently set up with R.E. 4.5 extreme duty with a few tweeks to reduce height mostly being shortest shackles I could get by with to still allow for full range of spring compression, 3.75" c to c compaired with the 5" the kits come with. My CJ came with the R.E. kit but is at least an inch and maybe two higher than I want considering it's a NT and I only run 32" BFG MT2
Soo.. My thought is to go with the OME 2.5 lift yj spring hoping it gets me the 3"? of lift I read about? I'm a bit worried I will drop too much and throw off all the stuff like CV driveshaft length, the tie rod flip etc. and open a can of worms.
Already set up with 2-1/2" large bushing hangers front and rear so no concerns there.
And the posted pic is old and it's not that clean anymore.:)

It very well could, I just installed RE 4.5 springs when I put a 44 in the front, to get the 2.5" wide springs. (had 4" superlift) well I gained about 2" and threw my cv angle in the rear off.

What have you been doing that your cj isn't that clean anymore.:D

This was the CJ5 you could eat off of. I love it! I think that your problem will be compounded due to it being a CJ5 and having even less wheelbase to deal with. I just wanted in on the conversation so I could post a bigger pic of that sweet CJ5 for newer members who may not have seen it. Im with Old Dog too, how come she got dirty? :D

Uhmmm, I was not aware cj's could possibly be that clean! Please post more pics, wait I will search for them under the members name. Not as lazy as I thought, lol. No shame in being clean, but getting dirty sure feels good.

It's getting used like a CJ should be. Actually it's at our new to us cabin and is my main transportation when there getting us and dog down to the lake and such, There is lot's of off camber trail and as the lake goes down like it has the shore becomes your lake access and I would just feel better with a lower cg.

My rear drive shaft is only 15" as I recall and maybe 4" total slip so not much room for leeway.

I guess what I need to know is the c to c arch of the spring when the Jeep is sitting on some 2.5 OME's or how far is center line of bushings above the axle center? This way I should get a better idea of how much change I would be looking at.
