why do people do crazy shackles like this. im starting to see more and more jeeps around here like this. not for me.

Most people just look at "will it lift the jeep and hold the weight"? They don"t think about how it's going to affect the steering. The ones on my CJ I drilled at the stock distance between bolt holes. The schackles are pleanty heavy just too long.

As most of you said I think people just don"t know any better and are looking for a cheap lift.

They probably wont ever get it running anyway and that leaves you to clean up their mess.

I would not want that thing behind me in an emergency stop situation, as soon as that axle rips out of there I wonder where he will end up.
