I'm looking for a low profile set of speakers that I could tuck under the center of the dash. I was thinking of using motorcycle/snowmobile speakers. Has anyone used these before? I was thinking a 200 watt set. I'm looking to listen to music not broadcast it to every other vehicle at the stoplight.

Another thought was to mount speakers in my dash pad. Anyone ever do that?

There is room behind the dash for a set of round four inch speakers but thats about it. I took my back set out and built a box for tow 6X9 and two 6"

What about boat speakers? Mounted them on the roll bar. Their water proof and made to mount outside on the ski tower. Its something I've been thinking about.

I thought about boat speakers. They're referred to as wake board speakers. I don't need that much power. I want to hear them not feel them. There isn't any reason they wouldn't work.

I'm running a pair of two foot glass packs on my AMC 304 . The whole neighborhood knows when I start up my jeep.:D I might need wake board speakers. ah, its too noisy for the wife already and I like hearing the motor anyway.;)
