hey guys, just got a deal on a 82 scrambler that needs some loving. i know that the front clip, wind shield, almost all the drivetrain, gas tank, and interiors are all universal or interchangeable between cjs and their later counterparts.
with the scrambler the doors look like they would be the same as CJ7 doors. are they? do they match up with any other models? and what about the tailgate? is it the same as a 7 or is that a scrambler only part that i will have to make? i would assume that the front driveshaft is the same as any other cj. but what about the rear one? scrambler only? or does it match up with some other jeep?
and does anyone know where to get a decent deal on a full top for this? i've seen where some have used a seven top and a bed cover to make one. but i'd really like to get a full one. either soft or hard. just want to be as frugal as possible.
thanks for any info you can help with. if there's any other scrambler only parts that i'm not thinking of let me know so i can keep them in mind. thanks.
