I had "safety of flight" concerns with the dangerous steering play on an '80 CJ7 . I put an AGR Superbox II steering box in along with some other good stuff, but couldn't use the original return line fitting. It was bent and twisted, fitting chewed almost round. Why hunt for the right wrench when channel locks are so handy?

I looked through NAPA On-line and found a return fitting I thought I could use. The lower driver side real estate below the radiator is pretty crowded. Now I find that the return fitting was too high (the bend has flattened somewhat when the steering box was bolted back). I dropped the whole box and mounting brackets to install the AGR Steering Box II, new bolts and a new anti-fouling coating on the bracket parts.

The return line fitting goes into the port on the left driver side of the steering box. I think if I knew the correct P/S return hose part, I could be more careful and get it into place without narrowing the fluid passage space inside the line. And not by using channel locks.

Does anyone have a record/know a part number for the P/S return line fitting for a Jeep CJ7 1980 with AMC 304 ? Here below is my eyeball pick that I will try next. Seems to have the best chance of clearance.
