Hey guys I'm kinda new to the Cj world I'm trying to put on a new dash pad on my 1980 CJ7 and I can't figure out how to get the old dash pad off can you give my some pointers maybe some pics

Some hidden bolts under windshield. Tilt it forward and you'll see about four there.

You might consider a new rubber dash seal. Mine is shot (1980) and it is on my list the next time I tackle no fuel-no engine temp. In summer, water trickling down my knees is a good thing, but not good for the floor or the dash wiring.

That sounds like a good idea I have noticed some water on my dash after a good rain and my oil pressure, fuel and temp gauge are out . My next job to tackle is a new wire harness the guy that had this jeep before me like to jerry rig the wires with painters tape instead of splices and shielding . I also need a new or rebuilt steering column .

yes i've got a new cowl seal laying on the bench for when I change my dash panel (hacked on). I noticed the other day wated dripping off the dash during a hard rain. Your steering column should be a GM column. I think a 76-80 will fit ours, i'm on the hunt for a tilt column. You might want to look into the blazer blower motor upgrade while your in the dash.

:grinjeep: ya I have a tilt steer right now a friend of mine has a billet tilt steering column and it looks real good I may scrape up enough cash to get one myself. As far as the heater goes I may just rip it all out since where I live never really gets cold but its not a big worry right now.

I wouldn't mind seeing pic's of other peoples jeeps inside and out for some custom idea's to mine.
