It states "Suspension, Steering, Tie Rods, Drag Links, Coil Overs, Lift Kits, Shocks and more..."

My question is - what is a coil over?

Great question a coil over is a shock that's wrapped in a coil spring. Coil over shock!

Okay, so that's what I've always called a load carrier shock... Is there some reason one shouldn't be using these?

When I think coilovers I think of these

the difference between a "load-carrying shock" and a coilover is this:
The "load carrying shock" is a suspension aid to carry heavy loads, used in conjunction with a normal suspension.
A coilover shock IS the suspension, used along with locating bars to keep the axle where its supposed to be.

When running a coil over set up you ditch the leaf springs and change over to a link set up. they are by far more adjustable but also alot more costly. if you think the springs are to stiff you can swap the springs out for lighter springs or the same to make it stiffer.

you can drop an easy $2000 in just the shocks. then you have to have the link system built.
