So my daughters 86 seems to be have a turning issue. First, I jacked it up and turned the steering wheel from center all the the way right. 2 full turns and a tiny bit. Back to center. turned to the left 2 full turns.
Went down to the marina. turned the wheel all the way left 24 steps give or take 72 feet. turned the wheel all the way right 20 steps or 60 feet.
Jeep drives fine. Tires are near new enough. No major crashes/incidents.
Now I did take a tape measure and measure from the frame to the outside of each tire. Left side measured at 20 3/4" right came in at 20".
The reason for concern is when parking or turning into the driveway. If you don't start a left turn soon enough, you'll be backing up for a second shot. It's annoying for sure.
Any ideas on how to tighten up for a left turn?
