So i've got a 360 long block coming from S@J engines. Im going to go with and edelbrock 600cfm carb and the performer intake. Summit isn't too clear on what exactly i need for the intake. I've read something about a heat shield and a metal valley pan? I'm sure lots of folks have installed this intake and was just wondering what is really needed.

Ya i dont have the steel pan gasket i used edelbrock intake gaskets, i did use the original baffel off my factory intake on the bottom of the edelbrock intake, also the 2 barrel throttle cable bracket will need to be extended closer to the firewall i cut mine and added maybe an inch more metal to it

It would be a good idea to pre assemble your intake with whatever gasket you use and check that the intake bolts fit, if your heads were milled you might need to slot the intake bolt holes

Also i used rtv on the “china walls” not the cork, they never seem to fit or stay in place
