Engine Color

I have a 1980 CJ5 with a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l in it, and will be swapping the engine in the next month or so. I have some time before I do it and the new engine is on the stand, I figured I would paint it and add some style. What colors do you feel look neat on it and anyone have any pictures to help me decide? Any help is appreciated!

I'm with cj on this one. Keep it the stock color.

I went with Hemi orange because I had a quart of it at the house looked great til mud got all over the engine.....Round two will be the factory blue you just cant go wrong with it

painted the wifes hot pink cause she asked me too...looks good but to loud for me when I got to work on it I almost need sun glasses to look at it
Basic eng colors for a jeep are : black , battle ship gray , teal , or blue
silver flakes so I would avoid silver

lol half the stuff under the hood is ford stuff anyways. plus i like the ford blue better.

trust me if i could use chevy stuff i would lol. i have this customer with a old ford with a chevy drivetrain and i always tell him built ford tuff with chevy stuff lol

Well I decided to paint it Amc blue, and am very happy with the choice. I think it looks great so thanks for the advice. Here's a couple pics of the finished product.
