So I'm new to the jeep world and with a purchase of an 84 CJ7 4cyc 4 speed 4x4 I was brought in. My question now is the I'm guesssing "front pipe" which leads from the manifold to the cat, where to find it and for cheap? I Found a catback for $100 but that "front pipe" was $AMC 150 , why so much? Any tips, sites, or any information would be greatly appreciated.

you wont find much for the 4cly check out your local muffler shop they can make 1 for you

I'm gonna try that. what makes that part so much though? Is there a o2 sensor in it?

I had my local muffler shop make me a custom front pipe from my 4.0 header for $20 but I'm not sure they can remain in business doing that all the time. O2 senser is just a threaded bung/port no?
