Factory Steering Stabilizer on a '77?..and leaf spring question.

Hey guys...can you tell me if there was a factory steering stabilizer option on '77 CJ's?...and if so does anyone have pictures showing what they look like? I thought mine had one but ordered a replacement shock...the one I got has threads on one side and an eye on the other. When I started to change it I noticed that the current stabilizer is threaded on both ends. So...starting to think now this is an aftermarket stabilizer kit? Also...since I have you...I just got a 2.5" RC lift kit. Can someone tell me how I know which way/direction the front springs go? In other words the big eye or little eye go to the front? I thought I could tell by looking at the springs I took off...found instead that they had the rear springs up front...so not going to bank on that being correct. thanks for your help.

I had a 76 and that one had a stock stabilizer on it. And when I got the 79 I drive now there was an after market stabilizer on there, but I also still had the brackets where the stock one was removed from.

The factory bracket looks like this............it goes on the drivers side between the spring pack and the housing and is clamped there by the U-bolts. The other end with the stud clamps to the tie rod with a right angle bracket that should have been supplied.

Ok...thanks guys. From the looks of my brackets, I don't have a factory stabilizer. Looks like I need to send this stabilizer back and see if they have the one I need that fits my set up. thanks again...
