Disregard, can not delete post and I found my answer..

I am sorry if this has been discussed but I could not find the answer in searching.

I have a factory tach, the PO had it held in with glue. Does anyone have a pic of the bracket/can that installs behind the dash? DSC06024_zps97029ae0.webp

I am guessing there is some kind of can that uses the center screw to hold it in place and capture the light from leaking behind the dash.

Any info would be great.

I bought a new tach but considering i have to cut my harness and there is no way to change the bulb I am returning it and using the original. Also bought the speedometer and clock. All three are going back.

The factory tach didn't come with a metal bracket. If you look on the back of your original tach there will be a screw hole in the center. The tach came with a cup that was fasten on using the above mentioned screw hole. The cup was larger in circumference then the tach and this is what held it in place.

I found this on ebay minutes after my original post. It is on the way. I am glad to return the crown automotive tach and use the original.
