Many of you know I'm a big Jeep Forward Control fan, and while in Russia I found that you can still buy a neat knock-off of the Jeep FC made by UAZ.
These trucks were first built in the late 60's, the Jeep version was built in the late 50's. Hmmm, did our Russian friends knock off one of the truly oddball Jeeps ever built? For some reason the body style is very popular in Russia and is still available new today. Though not known for their reliability, they are considered very capable and dirt simple to repair. A funny quote I read about the Uaz while searching them out online is "The Uaz will break down where no other car can go".
