Fiberglass Tub How Much Heat?

OK, so Im an old east coast jeep guy, and my rigs have always seen a lot of beach time, the salt has not been kind to them. I put together this CJ7 with a glass tub recently, its an older 4wd hdwe tub, pretty solid, but as I was driving down the beach yetrday and the floor was burning my heel I got to wondering about how much heat a glass tub can take.

I have bare floors, which is the way I want to keep it, and my steel tubs have always been smoking hot in the summer but that never concerned me, but glass likes to burn. Anybody fab any kind of heat shields or any thoughts?

The oem exaust pipes did have heat shields attached in that area.
