First look! 2010 Dodge Ram Power Wagon
image.jpg

The Power Wagon is back, and you can't miss it. The new graphic package for the 2010 Dodge 2500 Power Wagon is as bold as the giant Dodge Ram tailgate emblem and for good reason. The Power Wagon, like the Jeep Rubicon is one of the most versatile 4x4's on the market and yet unlike the Rubicon the previous Power Wagon was an unknown entity due to it's subtle logos. Yes it still comes with 33-inch tall terrain tires, locking front and rear differentials and remote sway bar disconnects, but if you didn't catch all that is also comes with big bold "Power Wagon" emblazon across the hood and tail gate so no one will miss the message.

We'll be running the 2010 Power Wagon against the 2010 Toyota Fourrunner, Hummer H3T Alpha, and Ford Raptor in our upcoming 2010 4x4 of the Year test, but since we were the first to see it's new look we thought we'd give you a sneak peak before our February 2010 issue with the complete test. The 2010 PW still has a gear shifter for Transfer Case shifting duties, (though no manual Transmission option) as well as optional integrated trailer brake controller, center counsul navigation, and that famous front 12,000 pound winch. The Power Wagon will only be available with the new crew cab body, six foot 4-inch bed and 383 Horse, 400 lb.-ft. Hemi 5.7L V8. This larger package keeps the great ground clearance of previous model Power Wagons, but does grow the wheelbase a few inches. Plus the great new Dodge truck interior offered in the 2009 half ton Ram is now coming to the the 2010 Heavy Duty trucks and Power Wagon. Will it win our 4x4 of the Year test? Find out in our February issue.
