flex-a-lite VSC and control switch

So I got a flex-a-lite fan and VSC. Now I was going to wire a switch for always on, thermostat, and OFF. now the flax-a-lite diagram shows how to wire a switch for ont or the other or using to different switchs. But is it possible to use a single SPDP, on-off-on switch?
Here is the original wiring


Can I just wire the SPDP switch so 12V source goes to middle switch, pin 5 goes to top of switch for manual off, and pin 6 goes to bottom of switch for manual on?

Ok I found my answer. It's not 12V to the center pin of the switch. It would be ground to center pin. 12v on the original would be for the light on the switch.
