I pulled the fly wheel it was pretty chewed up
can some help me on finding a good replacement not a top of the line but don't want to settle for a real cheap made 1 either.the 1 I pulled off look bad converter holes were oval shaped and I almost want to say the ring was welded on backwards
please help me

It's technically called a flexplate. Manual vehicles use a flywheel.

What year is your Jeep?

napa...about 60 bucks

I need some help I have 76 CJ7 AMC 304 and have a THM 400 3 sp automatic
I cannot locate the right flywheel.. the chewed up 1 I took out is a flywheel used when u use a adapter plate which it doesn't have it has a thin plate that goes between flexplate and back of motor so im thinking who ever was using wrong plate to begin with can anyone help me with correct flexplate to use p/n or picture... I only want to do this once

The below link is the correct flex plate for your V8.

NAPA AUTO PARTS

There is no adapter, what your calling an adapter is a "spacer". The spacer has a hole for the stater motor and is configured in a way to allow for an inspection plate at the bottom as well.

Hope this helps

thank u sir that looks just like the 1 I pulled off what does it mean without balance weights will I need to go have it balance or ? should I replace the flexplate bolta

Didn't notice it stated w/o balance weight, possible their balanced in the machining process? If not you would need to take it to a machine shop to have it balanced.

Or buy one from advance auto (part # 04368) they have balanced flex plates for the same price or less.

they would already be balanced ..make sure you get one for the AMC 304 ..the one for the 360 will bolt up but they are balanced different..

thanks to all on finding me the correct flexplate now can anyone tell me were to get new flexplate bolts or better a pn ???
