Found 10w40 Rotella?

Iv been using 15w40 and i was at Parts house and seen Rotella 10w40? Is this weight hard to find or did they just start making/carrying it? and what do you guys think of the weight i have about7k on the motor and about 700 miles on the 15w40 and its still honey colored, What do you fine Folks think?

If it meets CJ4 /CI-4/SL/SN ratings it may be OK as far as zinc additive. I haven't seen the exact numbers though.

A few years ago there was a lot of published study material on oil. One thing that came out of it was that 10w-40 was not a good combination. The chemical reasoning was beyond me, but there is something about the size of the spread with 40 being 4 times larger or is that smaller than 10. That is when 10W-40 left the shelves to be replaced by 15w-40 or 10w-30 or a whole bunch of other multi vescosity oils.
