Hey guys I know its been a while since I've been on the forum but between working and school and hunting I havent had much time and as of Friday I will no longer be the proud owner of my 77 CJ7 now I know what you are all thinking, that I got in over my head and I maybe did a little bit but not much. When i got the CJ7 I was unemployed and had a little bit of money coming in and all the time in the world well now I'm in college as a diesel technology student, I will have a new job the 16th as a diesel mechanic helper workin almost 40 hours a week and I'm married  lol. So as you can see I have no time and we all know when you get married your bills and her bills become our bills lol So to get to the point I'm trading my 77 CJ7 straight across for a 1975 ford 3/4 ton with 6 inches of suspension lift 3 inches of body on 38 swampers with old ford turbine mags. Some history on it is the engine was rebuilt 5 years ago and he only ran it for 5 hours it has a 390 in it with a 4 speed the frame has been painted along with the axles it was regeared to 4:10's it has a tilt front end on it that opens the regular way and the tilt way he welded brackets for the radiator to be away from the front end, it has rancho shocks all the way around and only needs a few minor rust spots fixed so all in all it will be a good trade. My plans are to fix it up get it in one color (primer gray) and sell it for more than i could have the CJ and buy another CJ. Just thought I would let everyone know that I havent gave up on CJ's I just ran out of time very quickly :(

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like a CJ with a diesel conversion is in your future! :D

Hmm I didnt think your CJ looked that bad? Usually it would fetch more than a Ford pick up ...good luck

It's not that bad, Just needs a body swap and I have the body and needs a new drive train and I have that also and needs everything gone through but I want it lifted and tires and rims and regeared and I dont have time to do all that.

you have come far, keep your head in school and worry about toys later.

Well got the ford running yesterday and ran fine just put fresh gas in it and unstuck the accelerator pump. Well it had a little valve noise and it went away and today i started it and the valve noise didnt go away, so i popped off the valve cover after making sure it had spark and it has a bent pushrod. But being a old 390 ford big block its gonna be easy because the valves arent adjustable! so tomorrow she should purr like a kitten again!
