I came across a set of Chevy front and rear Dana 44s. Anyone know or have experience installing these in a CJ. They do have a 6 bolt lug pattern and I think I’d need new spring perches.

What side is the front axle carrier on?
Are they the same R&P?
What are the widths?
You doing the fab work?
Need more info.......

I'll be getting a welder friend to help with the fabrication.

First, you need to figure out exactly what they are. AFAIK, Chevy never used a Dana 44 rear. The 1/2 tons were either a 10 bolt or 12 bolt truck version.

Chevy axles were also wider than 60" (~66-67" WMS for the 6 lug), have perches in top of axle, and have a milled and drilled for steering arm on the driver side.

Sounds like you may have a set of FSJ (Full size jeep/ wagoneer, Pickup, etc). They are also 6 lug, Dana 44 front and rear and the fronts have perches under the axle.

What year CJ are you putting them under and what Transfer Case do you have?
