Fuel vapor storage canister

Hello, I could not find much on this in the search button. I would like to replace this if possible with a new one. Or if there is a way of building finding something smaller in it's place. I have a 76' CJ and here in Cali it needs to be smogged, so it needs to stay.

Hello, I could not find much on this in the search button. I would like to replace this if possible with a new one. Or if there is a way of building finding something smaller in it's place. I have a 76' CJ and here in Cali it needs to be smogged, so it needs to stay.

OEM Part number is J-3227282, was used for 76 and 77, all jeeps, the federal and CA are the same before 1980 on jeeps.

I could not cross that number to an aftermarket equivalent. Good luck hunting..

I thought I remember reading some similar year GM vehicles used the same canister but can't say whitch ones.
