I am installing a GM dana 60 front on a CJ3b and upgrading to a saginaw 4.25 turn power steering box out of a jeep j10 should I mount it like a early cj convertion or like a newer chevy pick up where it points at an angle to the colum and run a chevy pitman arm

Are you working with a stock CJ3b frame? what powerplant? what steering colum?

Are you running high steer or just reg. steer arms?
A little more info on what your building will help us.

I am running high steer arms 4.3 mpi 4l60e Dana 300 4 to 1 low ididit colum havent purchased yet and I built my frame 4x3 tube extended to fit yj springs with shackle reversal and 18 inches to the body cuting rear wheel well out to fit 42 inch iroks

That does not sound like a CJ3b to me.

I out-boarded the steering gear mount, went with a C20 steering gear mounted straight, and a J10 pitman arm with cross-over steering ( easy convert to hi-steer later if I want...). My Dodge D60F is very similar to your Chevy version.

You may have trouble getting enough full range of motion from the drag link on your D60 if you keep the box inside of the frame. Some complain about this and some don't.

A 2wd GM box and the J10 are the same in that the Pittman comes off of the rear of the Pittman shaft and points directly back. A GM 4wd box uses a funky horseshoe Pittman that comes off of the shaft pointed to the driver's side. The jeep/2wd box turns the Pittman by moving it side to side while the 4wd box and horseshoe Pittman require a front to back motion. This would not work for my cross-over configuration and I had to swap boxes due to the key-way and a milled flat spot on the 4wd GM box preventing a different Pittman arm from being installed 90 degrees to the rear as a 2wd/Jeep box, and my steering geometry, requires.
