My daughter turns 15 in June, & wants her drivers license so much.
She also wants a Jeep, not my heap but a Rubicon. She's been saving but well short of that much cash.
Heck, i've only had one vehicle that we had to take a loan out for and that was when she was born.
I'm feeling weak.
Someone slap me quick !

Going to be in the same boat soon.

Option 1 is a CJ that she and I can rebuild together.
Option 2 is an XJ that is`nt in to bad a shape.

I had always thought I would give the 5 to my daughter when she was old enongh but when the time came I just couldn't do that to either of them. She deserved something a bit mor forgiving to learn to drive in and the CJ deserved not to be subjected to someone that did not know how to treat her.
My daughter is driving a Honda element, it's ugly, stable, all wheel drive and geets 30 something MPG.
Hook her up with something she can survive a few mistakes with and wory about learning to apriceate a special machine for later. something warm and dry that requires minimal maintainance will make both of your lives better.

That's what her mom thinks,& i'm leaning that way too now.
Kids are gonna screw up no matter how careful they think they are.
I remember all too well.
I'm thinking "MACK" truck. She'd be safe in a semi. lol

i hate to say it but a tj or xj would be better for her. if my daughter was that old there is no way i would let her drive the cj unless she was in the fields at my inlaws land. the cj can be a handfull. a tj or xj would be easier to drive.
