I've decided to buy a grease gun and grease my CJ on my own. What kind of grease should I use for the normal places (bellcrank, axles, etc.)? Thanks.

Thank you! I know mine are basic and mind-numbing questions for most of the guys on here. Thank you...I really appreciate the help and rest easier knowing I have good information to best take care of my baby! :)

EVERYDANGBODY had to start at the beginning. ;)
Never hesitate to ask. :notworthy:
When I star'd wrench'n some 50+ years ago. I learned from the school of hard knocks, with many classes in fix'n my screw-ups........
Don't be afraid to GOOGLE for Jeep info also. That has helped me when my CRS was in full bloom.

and for the guys running closed knuckles, and factory Ross steering, Corn Head grease is the way to go.

I wouldn't use 'Corn head' in any grease gun. It's to 'loose'.
I've had very good results using CV joint grease in closed knuckles.

Out here in the Mojave Desert, it stays pretty 'loose' till winter. LOL
That's why I use CV joint grease.

Ditto: I put it in with grease gun , one tube per joint .
no mess no leak

I've been using corn head grease for years in my grease gun.
It's firm enough in the gun yet thins out at work.
and less then $3 a tube

That looks like some neat grease, I think i would have to do all my greasing in the winter here in Texas and keep the grease gun in the fridge during the summer months LOL
