GURU advice on a CJ7 buy

Opinions...

Going to look at two CJ7s to purchase possibly.

Looking for an automatic daily driver that i can make as reliable as possible, with hard doors (which one doesnt have) and a top (which one doesn't have), and want eventually an A/C, fuel injection, and power brakes.

Not looking for a rock crawler or a pristine paint.

Given what you guys know, and your experience....

Like I asked before-What SMOG laws will you have to deal with?
Take a tarp and a pick hammer, get under them to see how 'sound' the frame is.
Make sure the VIN on the title, matches the VIN on the firewall.

X2 as LG said. Really look for body and frame rust on those. Those are the real deal killers.

Going off just the adds I would be looking at the one without the top. The other one has had to many changes done to it for my liking.

looked at both...

i think i'm gonna pass on those.
not sure i liked the work that had been done.
don't get me wrong - fine work - but not exactly what i'm looking for.
want something a little plainer.

the truth is... secretly, I really want a '76 CJ7 .
