Re-doing the head gasket, is there anything I need to be aware of with the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l ? Also, How easy to do the rings while I have the head off, last cylinder has a busted ring?

Not too bad to pull the pistons. Nows. the time to do it. Just need to drop the pan.

Good time to check the rod bearings also. Some people say not to do it, but flipping them will give new life to a set. They tend to wear more on the bottom. If both sides are showing color it's time to replace them...and possibly the mains also.
