Ok, so i did the blower motor upgrade and replaced my heater core while I had it apart. Now I find that the heater core takes 5/8" hose and the water pump needs 1" hose. Is this correct? Am I missing an adapter to change hose size. The previous owner had somehow managed to get the 5/8" hose on the water pump I have tried and it just doesn't seem correct. Any ideas as to what I can do would be greatly appreciated

I would guess that's 1"OD and 3/4" ID hose on the water pump?
If the difference is 3/4" ID versus 5/8" OD on the heater go for it................. the hose on the 5/8" side will collapse enough to take up the 1/8" inch and still make a good seal. Use the after market screw / band type clamps.
