Next time try grease under the tires and a strong rope tied to the rear axle and a tree and drive off with the trailer usually works every time!

I can just see the grease skid marks on the trailer! Can't criticize the method though. I brought home a 1947 2 1/2 ton truck with a frozen front wheel bearing. Got it off the trailer by hooking a chain to the back of the truck then to my farm tractor. I made a dolly using several layers of plywood and about 6 large cabinet casters under the siezed wheel. Then as you said, I just drove the trailer out from under it. I'll have to remember the grease thing though!
Saw it done once as a vindictive thing. Boat on trailer taken and boat tied to tree and trailer yanked out from under boat. A dirty low down thing in deed
