Ok...at a stage where I need to make a decision. The old headlight buckets are toast. The adjusters are stripped out and the springs are missing. Do I spend the cash and buy a new set or is there a better option / upgrade out there? I hate the plastic adjuster design but don't know if I have any other options.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Cheers! :chug:

mine were the same exact way and i used other ones that i had laying around. replacing them would be your best bet from my opinion.

Yeah. I plan to replace them, but with what? I guess what I am asking is there a better option then the stock ones? If not, I will just try to get new/old stock headlight buckets. Just didn't know if there was a better option or upgrade to get away from the plastic adjusting screws.

The only part I'd buy new is the chrome beauty ring. There are pleenty of good used buckets on eBay etc.

Just be careful if you do this, AFAIK there have never been any aftermarket DOT approved HID conversions. That was a few years ago. There are cheap kit and very expensive ones. Just putting a ballast, wiring and bulb in a non HID bucket is not a real conversion.

Here are few articles I found.

(BTW - DOT approved is not what many think it is. The NHTSA does not approve any part, manufacturers self approve their own equipment.)
