i have a msd blaster 2 coil. i dont have points so i shouldnt need a ballast resistor right?

Ive run into this a few times and I still use a ballast. Your correct in saying the points are gone and why need it. Origanally they were used so if you accidently left the key on the points wouldnt fry. I say leave the ballast. My 70 roadrunner has a moperf. set up and they still call for one.
