I purchased a restored 1965 jeep CJ5 , all steel body, no tailgate, for some reason, L134 "Go Devil" "L134 "Go Devil" " last spring. I use it pretty much as my daily driver. I purchased new seats, raised them 1/1/2" and set the back 6" to make more leg room. It has marker lights on the front fenders which I believe is for 69 and later, so I purchased a set of original "no marker light fenders. Just got to get them painted. I purchased a second parts jeep that is all rusted out, but has a good condition hard top, a meyers snow plow, and a Dauntless Buick 225 V6 v-6 in good working condition. Now the project begins. Just starting to evaluate the project. V-6 is pulled and on the engine stand. Found the rebuild kit for the rochester 7041185 but can't locate a float. I will have to remove the rigid frame motor mounts from the parts chassis and install them on my chassis. This should set me up for a perfect install with the v-6. I have 15x7 steel wheels with aftermarket stainless hubcaps, 15x7 spoke wheels, and 15x7 aluminum slots. By spring I will have a 1965 jeep CJ5 , Dauntless Buick 225 V6 v-6, snow plow, with hard top, soft top, or no top.
