Hi Folks,

I Need your help :-)!

The Department for technical Inspection in my Country needs an certificate or Picture/brochure/catalog in the period from 1980 - 1995, to verify that the springs and shock absorbers for a CJ were offered as accessories. On my CJ there are RS5000 and the suitable springs for lift. Without this I will not get any approval. Do you have any historical pictures/magazines/brochures/catalogues or similar from this time and can you send it to me? That would be super nice.

Thanks in Advance
Marius

Welcome!
Rancho has been around since the fifties and supplied jeep suspension pieces to start out. However if your country needs it to be a manufacturer offered item then I not sure they did that. AMC was known to use parts from all different sources. Also dealers upgraded suspension packages from time to time.
If someone had a build sheet from that era, it may show an upgrade.
Good luck

I take it you are going for the H kennzeichen?

That´s correct ;-) So you know it..
I know it but put regular plates on my CJ7 . Tüv is easier. I just did mine last week.

Ok I'll bite, what is it? Something like a historical designation?
Yes, vehicles in Germany that are more than 25 years old can get historical plates. They are cheaper and insurance is cheaper too but they limit how many miles you can drive ina year. The plates have an H as the last character of the plate number.

Back to the OP though. Have you tried contacting Rancho directly? They are the ones most likely to be able to provide you with what you need. They have a contact page on the intertubes: Contact

I would also try hitting them up on Facebook.

I already wrote an e-mail to rancho a few days ago, but don´t get feedback until now.

Give them a few days, companies are not always fast at answering. If you want send me a DM and we can talk on the phone and I will see what they do with me. I assume you are not a native English speaker?

I have tried it by Facebook and get an direct Reply - thanks for the tip!

That´s Right - I´m not an english native Speaker - but the communcation works :p
if I need your support, I'll let you know. Thanks for the offer.

welcome aboard keep us informed of how it goes i would love to know

Have you got an answer from Rancho yet?
