1980 CJ7-258 I6, MC 2100 carb, team rush upgrade, T4, D300 tcase, D30 w/aussie locker in the front, AMC20 open, I think PO put 4.88s in the diffs, 35,000-135,000 miles, you pick. 4"susp lift, 2" shackle, 35" <-BAD WORD-> cepek AT's on black steel wheels, 1 1/4" spydertrak wheel spacers, most everything else i believe is stock, finding things out as I go
This seems simple enough, but I cant find where to hook up the horn. I originally thought that I would have to hotwire a horn in, but after installing a new steering wheel and horn button, I could hear/see that the horn button was still working. I look under the hood and it looks like the PO stripped the horn and hook ups out. I have searched around, and I know that the orange wire w/tracer should be coming out of the "wire hook up box" to the left of the MC. Only problem is that I dont see a orange w/tracer wire, and it looks like wires have been spliced in, and they go to weirrd places. Some look like they go to the Tcase, some go back through the firewall, etc. Could someone post a pic of the horn set-up and where the wire connects to at the box. Thanks. Ill post some pics up later.

Attached is the best pic I have at work. Mine is loomed but the wire to my horn is black. For all I know this may not be stock, but I hope it helps. I had to replace the horn and plunger in the wheel to get mine working. Good luck!

I think that is where mine is too, mine comes out a red with yellow stripe. I saw it their the other day and was gonna volt check it but that will have to wait till tomorow. Thanks for the reply, its feels good to know that I might be able to fix this without hot-wiring a horn in.

Mine comes out of the loom that feeds the front clip (headlights, etc) just on top of the drivers side fender

Upon further review at the house, my horn has 2 wires: one black and one red with a white line. Hope this helps.
