I bought a CJ last year with 31s. My dad has a 2.5" w/ 1" on the shackle and 32s. My brother apparently has no lift with his 31s. I've got plenty of space in the fender with my 31s, but my leafs look pretty tired. All the 2.5" kits say the max tire size is 31s.

Do I already have a 2.5" lift? I have yellow shocks, so the previous owner at least changed them to some EMUs. Did EMU make a 1" kit by chance?

What do you think?

EMU kits are a little less specific as to lift; a lot depends how the jeep is equipped. Hardtops, winches, V8s and the like all effect the amount of lift which can be as little as 1”. From the picture it is hard to tell what you have. A picture showing the amount of arch in the springs would help. Also you might try turning the picture so one doesn’t have to tilt the screen and give a shot of the shackles up front too.

I actually looked at jeepardy's image on the "justify your tire size." and I don't have a lift. I measured the height from the ground to the skid plate. It's 10.2". My tire diameter is an inch wider, but my leafs are worn out, so the skid plate to ground distance is the same as the factory tire and new leaf springs.

I've got stock shackles, soft top, AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l & no winch. The only extra weight is my Tuffy, amp & subwoofer. Thanks for the info!
