Misc. How do we eliminate "Welcome" threads" from "What's New"

Every time I log into CJ.com the first place I go is "What's New" to get updated on any new threads or new postings, but, immediately you get inundated with tons of welcome to the forum threads and tends to bury any threads you may have wanted to read or become active on, and can't now unless you wade through all the new member welcomes looking for anything new. Now I know you can use the alerts bell to find anything new to anything you have posted or subscribed to watch, but that doesn't help with NEW POSTINGS.

I looked and edited your account, let's see if it worked. I 'watched' then 'unwatched' the forum.
Let me know if you still see new posts in that forum.

This is what I see when I click the above link to "What's New" still all the welcome to our site stuff burring other threads.

ok, not sure, only 3 post unread, none of them new member, threads below not updated since visit, still have them, but let's wait and see after you have some new ones join, should be a bunch by tomorrow, always seems to be everyday. I'll update

I made a new user and the welcome message showed up in your What's new.
