How much lift?

I have an '86 CJ7 , and it already had a body and suspension lift installed. Is there a way I can measure so I know exactly how much lift was installed? Is there another way? I am confident many of you would be able to tell my simply looking at it, but I'd like to know how I can be sure of what it has.

Here is one way of telling the approximate lift.

This doesn't take into account the shackles. Stock shackles are 3 inches. Five inch long shackles only lift the jeep one inch since they only lift one end of the spring.

Awesome. Perfect. Thank you. I measure 4 inches exactly, so I guess that's a 4" lift. I was told the previous owner thought it may have a 1 inch body lift as well, but after looking at the body mounts I doubt it. It looks like maybe 3/4" to 1" of rubber between the body and frame. I would assume a 1" body lift would have something a little thicker in there.
