My apologies from the start. My friend, a self proclaimed Jeep guy, was helping me with a number of upgrades. He was helping change out the carburetor and a cracked valve cover, and he got arrested, and he won't be out of jail for at least a year. The Jeep starts and drives, but the exhaust and gas fumes are pretty bad. I have attached pictures. Tried a video, but it was too big. If you can tell me where these connections go, that would be great, and if you see anything just plain wrong.

A nutter bypass has been done as well.

The first piece by the battery has 2 tube connectors. One tube is still attached but loose on the other side. the other side that is labeled "vac" has nothing in it.

Second one looks like it's connected to the exhaust down below, but the hose is not attached to anything. Where does it go?

The next one is the wiring connected to the top of the valve cover. Isn't there supposed to be something plugged into the top?

Same thing with the wiring that is supposed to be attached to the firewall. Is there something missing?

On the carburetor side, there is a line connected to the bottom of the carburetor goes to a line plugged for the bypass and the other goes to a green outlet that doesn't have anything connected.
the tube connected to the back of the carb, going to the PCV connector, has the other side loose ( in picture).

What carb are you running and what distributor. If it's factory get rid of it. You only need the vacuum for pcv valve brake booster (if power) and advance on the distributor.

Get a GM HEI distributor and Ford MC 2100 for the carb. Ditch everything else (or go efi)

If you're in California disregard everything I said.

That’s great advice. I’m not sure about the distributor, but the carb is a Weber. It is actually running well. It just smells like gas vapors after a couple of minutes. There is also a little whistle to the engine sound. I feel like I’m missing something with the exhaust.
 
I'll look for other pics of take some close ups of what you want to see

With the gm hei and mc 2100 you can eliminate the computer. I recommend efi only cause it runs better and eliminates the need to constantly fiddle with it due to the ethanol in the fuel. Personal preference I dis like the Webber but I also wheel mine and it acted up on steep inclines

Here are a few close ups. I only have 3 vacuum lines in use. Everything else is gone including both under dash and under hood computer. I've since added sniper efi

Most of that is all EGR and emissions related. If you're state doesn't require emissions get rid of it all. The exhaust parts I believe are part of the factory pre heat for cold start ups. None of those components are needed.
