What does the Idle Relay do or control? CJ has been "Nuttered".
Tried looking in the Adventures Under the Hood site, but could find nothing called idle relay.

Any ideas?

"It energizes the idle solenoid, which allows vacuum to operate the sole-vac vacuum actuator. This in turn, opens the throttle and increases engine rpm."
I got that from my factory service manual. I am not sure where it is located, but it has white w/tracer,red,red,pink w/tracer, and pink w/tracer wires coming from it. I am sure the the Nutter By-Pass has affected it.

With the 'nutter'. It's no longer in use.
It's a series of 3 switches sit'n on top of the valve cover and they are tied into the 4 & 10 HG switches on the fire wall.

Thanks for the info. Trying to figure out some wiring as I try to put the CJ back together.

Going from an AMC 150 wiring to AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l wiring. There are some slight differences(don't really understand why the differences).

Will post another wiring question in new thread. Maybe you can figure it out.
