If I was going to rewire my CJ I think this is where I would start.:D

Haywire, Inc. Custom Automotive Wiring

looking for some other wiring stuff and noticed this and it would be so much better than stock. I am wondering how cost effective it is to the pre made harnesses.

14 circuit with fuse block, new ignition with keys, floor dimmer, wiper switch, and headlight switch. Comes with all the other goodies to make it work like heat shrink, connectors and what not.

Doesn't seem like a bad deal to me for $350ish...:):chug:

I wish I would have went with someone else, I ended up going with e-z wiring and not sure if, I'm just absolutely horrible at wiring or if it's there crazy prints that don't match up to any of the original prints paid $165 for mine, should have spend the extra money for like Centech or Painless lol.

Looks like a good company though good find!!!

:chug:

That a nice looking block but I think once you buy all the wire and connctors it would be cheaper with a EZ wire kit. One of the other benefits of the Kit like EZ wire is the wires are color coded so if once you have finished it up, and forgot what went where all you have to do is pull back the loom and its no more then 5" either direction before you know what your looking at.

I attached my harness to a sheet of plywood with drywall screws and plastic tie wraps. I had it in the house and redid it during the winter. I hung the dash up in the same room and did the same with it. But I don't mind doing wiring either

Yes it is a nice fuse panel, but $88?

I can put a lot of fuses and relays in this one ($22) for $66.

Connector Concepts: ATM Fuses and Fuseholders.

but no flashers. I especially like the way the terminals are so accessible on the $88. the two things I hate about the original is the location and the lack of accessible test points.

If and when I rewire the CJ I will put the fuses in the glove box, have a system of numbered screw on terminals and use some decent water resistant connectors, like these.

Weather Pack Sealed Connectors & Components

:D

I don't mind it either, in fact I think it is the most fun part. Whats wrong with us?:wtf:

Well good deal, since you live in Garland and my wife and I are in North Garland by firewheel every weekend, maybe I can bring my jeep to you and you can tell me all that I have done wrong on my dash. lol:chug:

IO, the Haywire HOME site says "All wiring systems are made with American made wire in their Joplin, Missouri facility." Good quality wire won't corrode like cheap china wire - Chinese metallurgy is appalling. Get the good stuff, do a better-than-average job, and when something goes a bit wrong with your Jeep, the LAST place you need to look will be wiring.

I like your idea!

Sure, I would take a look.PM to ask me again later in the week and let me see what I have going next weekend. The Pate swap meet is on the 28th, that is the next out of the garage event I have planed.:D

I can throw a rock and hit Firewheel.
