Was looking at my front supsension the other day and thought the power steering sat a little lower then stock. Also didn't know if the Cjs came with the sway bar stock?

Any help or info would be appreciated, I'm getting ready to to install a SOA kit on my jeep and wanted to make sure it's all stock as is except for shackles and springs. Thanks guys

Looks stock to me. Nothing out of the ordinary. I cant give you a specific year but later Cjs came with a front sway bar stock.

What about the power steering, doesn't it look lower? Maybe I'm just crazy

Pictures can be tricky depending on the angle you take them from. The 2nd pic from the passenger side looks like it has the correct steering geometry with a stock pitman arm , no drop. Get a light under there and show us the power steering box mount itself. ;)

:agree: it all looks stock to me

It looks like mine including sway bar and I have an all stock '81 CJ5 .

A pic of the steering gear mount will tell if its stock or not.

Sory not the best angle but this is a stock power steering actuator. It looks to be the same as far as I can see.

Please fill out your profile.:D

IO - What doesn't look stock is the loose front body mount in your picture .... the rubber donut looking thing in the middle of the radiator housing.

I had to go back and Locktite all of those.:D

Ok thanks guys! Just wanted to make sure you never know what the PO could have done.

I've seen a lot of guys not have away bars when there off roading. Is this common and how does it help any? All I know is it helps a lot when I'm at 70 mph. :)

Ya I was adjusting it the other day and I think I broke of the nut that the one bolt goes into under the radiator/front body mount. Any suggestions how to fix it easily other then cutting up my grill?

It's about 10 degrees here and all the roads are salted. I wash it everyday, it's a pain in the ***. :/
