I have not seen a thread on this, if it already exists forgive and delete. I am sure most people name their Jeeps, I know ours had a name long before it was road ready.

Eugene of course.

Anyone else?

I have not named mine. But I have called it quite a few foul things when it has broken down.

And I was known to say "come on baby" a lot hoping it would start up.

Was gonna name it Rhoads after the iconic guitarist Randy Rhoads, but gave that name to my yellow lab, for now flying high. When it's done and back on the road i'm thinking Mr. Crowley :punk:

I've heard some great jeep names and for a short time thought it would be cool to have a name for my CJ. She's bright green so the Wicked Witch of the west came to mind. "The Witch" would work nicely, but I'm just not the type to name an object.

Now that I'm think about it again "The Witch" really does appeal to me.

Can't say I've named my jeep, but I do call it the Little Grey Mule sometimes

Cant say it's her name officially, but I often refer to my 8 as "my girl"

I can't name mine right now - I have the same issue when getting a dog - I can name it till I hang around with it for a bit - And since my CJ is in pieces all over the garage, I'm gonna wait till I get her back on the road.

I never have been either but I have found myself referring to the CJ as Eugene from the day we decided to get it.

How about pieces of 8 or pieces of 7 or something on that line

It's definitely pieces, that's for sure!! And pieces of Wrangler, and a piece of Wagoneer.......

I just call mine "MY OLD DOG" because it's as loyal as an old dog.

Mirage - Eugene is one of the names I really like. It's simple, not pretentious easy to remember and brings on a smile. Thank you for that.

Harsh my friend harsh .... not exactly PC .... But few have accused me either of being PC. :) Sometimes we've just got to let a sleeping dog lie.

I never named my Jeeps but my F150 supercrew is called the land barge.

I named my CJ after my last dog. He was epileptic from 6 mos on. Required a lot of special care but more than worth it especially with the joy he brought.

Name is "Oscar" which is a nautical term meaning, 'Man overboard and in need of rescue'.

Unfortunately I had to put Oscar down at the age of 4 because the complications became too severe.

In actuality, everything that I own has the same moniker: 1976 CJ5 , 1993 Harley-Davidson, 1995 Checkmate, 2002 Chevy Blazer.

When people ask me what I like about any of them, I always reply: 'I'm just happy when they start...'

I should probably start assigning numbers to them....

When I bought my CJ7 , the gal I bought it from said the Jeep is female! I looked a long time before marrying my wife. We are separated now. I also looked a long time for my CJ7 . So, CJ Michele is the name that stuck.
