Jeep Pickups
To buy or build?
Over the past few months there has been heavy rumors and hype regarding a factory built Jeep pickup. While any new 4x4 vehicle is a positive in my eyes, I can't help but wonder, who's the demographic? The novelty of having an off road pickup is great, but is there still a market for it?
A truck bed means plenty of room for cargo, big spare tires, and creates a more utilitarian aspect to the vehicle. What I wonder is, how well will a regular cab make it in today's market. When is the last time you remember seeing a regular cab truck on the road, that wasn't a parts runner. They are far and few between. And though I would love to own one since I pack light and don't have any children to toss in the back, I am just not sure that there are enough enthusiast to make the Jeep Pickup a win.
Doesn't anyone remember the Comanche? Or how about the J-trucks from the 70's?
