Jeep Wrangler JK Front Bumper
Just a cut away!
Since purchasing my '08 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon last November I have been a slow and steady build path with it. Equipped with a 2.5-inch TeraFlex budget boost, EVO valved King shocks, and 35-inch Nitto Trail Grapplers it simply works awesome off road.
I recently upgraded the side protection with a set of Armageddon Rock Sliders from EVO MFG, and have been eying a new front bumper. While I have a winch just sitting on the shelf, I have been less than motivated to swap over to a winch mount front bumper.
I really like the look of the stubby bumpers on the JK, so I decided to convert my factory bumper into a stubby one. Using some tape, cut off wheel, plasma cutter and drill I spent a little over an hour chopping my factory bumper into shape. While it's not as sleek and complete at the cool aftermarket units, it will do the trick for a little while.
Here's a few photos of the before and after and the progress in between.
