I was wondering if anybody knows or has thought I need new springs and don't feel like dropping 4-600 a new set of 2" lift springs for my jeep it just putts round the road and to the grocery every now and then

So I was thinking of going and picking up a set of springs from the junk yard just curious what vehicle I should look for

This junkyard does not have any jeeps

Pretty sure you won't find any other vehicle springs to directly bolt in. By the time you are done with spring hangers, shackle, bolts, etc. You could just buy a new lift and bolt it in.
Maybe take yours to a suspension and spring shop and have them re-arched or have them make you a new main leaf.

My opinion..

Never mind, I lied... Not sure where I pulled that from.

But it looks like if you could find a 79-83 Toyota, those will be close. The pin offset is different. Could net you some wheelbase change if you wanted to change driveshafts.

Time out guys that Toyota is 2-3/8" wide. A 69 CJ should be 1-3/4".

Now what about spring rate? Is ride quality important?

If this was a good idea and worked, someone would have posted it already.

IMO stick with Jeep. New stock springs are out there. Why risk putting in something that ends up worse? That's a lot work to swap out if. ..:D
