Leaf spring disassembly

I did a quick search and found nothing. Have any of you ever disassembled your leaf springs. I’d like to do it and clean me up and paint them. Thanks in advance.

You need a BIG 'C' clamp and new center bolt.
I also spray mine with silicone spray several times a year.

Can I replace the center bolt with any style bolt. Or is it specific? Also what about the strap like clamps on the springs?

The bolt has a round head which allows the perch on axle housing to drop onto to center housing on the spring. A spring shop or one of the jeep parts places should sell them.

I got the spring clamps from summit, i'm sure they sell the bolts as well. If you want to do local, Napa will have everything you need. Easy job to do, C-clamp them tight and put the clamps on..
