Hello all.
I got a set of Old Man Emu leaf springs for Rocky Road, came with no literature.
Two of the springs have five leaves, two have four leaves. Im thinking the set with five leaves go on the rear, and the set with four go on the front.
What do you think?

Also each spring has a large bushing eye and a smaller bushing eye. Im thinking the large bushing eye should go to the fixed frame mount.
What do you think?

I appreciate your help and suggestions.
Thanks much.
Pat

I think you are right on all accounts but I would call Old Man Emu. They should have instructions for these simple questions.

Yes the large side goes on the frame mount, but I'm not sure about the different springs. When I did my OME lift, all four springs were the same. Call Rocky Road, they should be able to tell you.

I just did this. You are absolutley correct. 5 in the back and 4 up front. bigger bushing goes to frame mounts.

I would think the 5 would go in front and 4 in back because you have the extra leaf for the weight of the motor.

yes you would think. I cant say for certain for that year cj but the rear springs are 2.5" wide unlike the front that are 2"

OK I talked with Rocky Road, 5 in the back, 4 in the front and large eye to the frame. They also sent me the kit directions, that should help.
Thanks everyone.
