lift help/ wont go into gear now

I have a 1985 CJ7 with a 1.5 to 2 inch body lift PO put on. extended shackles and I just put on a pro comp 4 inch suspension lift. Jeep shifted fine without the pro comp lift on it. But when I put the Transfer Case lowering kit on I noticed I had to pull the Transfer Case back about 1/4 to 1/2 inch to get the bolt holes to line back up with the shims. After doing that the shifter would hit the tub going into 2 4 and reverse. So I notched the tub and the shifter don't hit now but when I put it into 2 4 and reverse now it is just barley catching the gears now and just grinds. Any ideas?

To go into 4wd with the Dana 300 , it helps to have the hubs locked, Although not always.

After some searching on Google and trial and error I found that with the shift boot removed it shifts into all gears now.

Take the t/c lowering kit off and get a cv joint style driveshaft IF you need one.
It never made any since to me to first lift the jeep and than lower the t/c.

Well I do have an upgraded tom woods drive shaft but it is only a standard slip 2 joint drive shaft with a u joint. I do plan on removing the body lift, just waiting for the stock mounts to arrive.

removing the body lift will probably fix it...or notch it out a little more

Body lift off, and now the going into gear is fixed.
