Current Setup 1985 Jeep CJ-258, 6cyl -T-5 5spd 273 gears.
Just installed a 2.5 inch lift on my 85 CJ7 . This is my first lift installation and I am very pleased with how it looks. I still have to install a new sway bar and disconnects once the parts arrive. Thanks to the members on this site that helped with my questions during the process. Next project is to Hippoline the the tub in the next couple of weeks. :)

Cheers, Brian

Looks good, glad to see ya got it done.:chug:

Maybe it's just me (I like overkill) but I would have used grade 8 bolts in the spring hangers. If you did and it's just my eyes than never mind.:D

Looks sharp, it's always nice to stand back and admire a project that you have completed. Well done.

Congratulations on your success.:chug:
What's next?:D

Thanks Guys, what a difference it makes having air tools. I am really happy with the outcome, but kinda of sad that this project is finished. I had a lot of fun installing it and overcoming some challenges. Next is the Hippolining the tub, I have already POR-15 it. I will post some pictures once I am done. Thanks again for your help and support, you guys are great. :D

Cheers, Brian

The only way to avoid the let down that comes with completion is to have several things going at the same time so you never actually get the feeling that you have finished anything.:D

I am hoping this Jeep will not be like my last CJ I owned, when I fix something else would go. The last straw was when I changed differential fluid in my front and back diffs on my 79 CJ7 , I found out my ring gear was 410 in the front and my rear was 354, someone before me didn't have the gears matched up. I also had a crack in my frame near the shock mount. Still loved the Jeep even though it costed me money and a bit of grief, I had some fantastic times in it.

lookin good. its like my jeep when i put on my 2.5" lift. not to high but makes it look alot better.

Hi dalefan88, it's the perfect height for me. Any higher and the I would have to pack a milk crate for the wife to get in. lol. Just waiting for my sway bar and disconnects to come in and it's completed suspension wise.
